RESIDENTS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THE 24TH ANNUAL (60TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION) TOWN BBQ
ON SUNDAY, APRIL 2, 2017
11:00 AM ~ 2:30 PM
Mayor Shalhoub and his Smokin’ Gator BBQ “pit crew” will be preparing mouth-watering pulled pork and barbecue chicken. We are excited to bring back the fired catfish as it seems to be a fan favorite. Councilman Lewis' irresistible juicy hot dogs will be served! We start serving food at 11:30 AM and continue until the food runs out so be sure to come early.
The 13th Annual Ron Weber Memorial Antique Car Contest will take place during the BBQ festivities. Residents can view the antique cars that will be on display and vote for the vehicle of their choice. One winner will be chosen to receive a trophy donated by GONZ Collision. Make sure to cast your vote because the winning car will be featured in the Town’s annual “Holidays in Paradise” parade that will be held on December 2, 2017.
We also will be accepting baked goods this year, please contact Pat Conte at (561) 324-8050 to arrange for your donation.
TICKETS ARE NECESSARY FOR THIS EVENT SO STOP BY TOWN HALL TO PICK UP YOURS TODAY (RESIDENTS ONLY PLEASE). Each household is eligible to receive two (2) free tickets for this event. Additional tickets are $5 each if purchased in advance of the event. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets will be exchanged for wristbands on the day of the BBQ. Due to overwhelming demand – Ticket prices will be $10 each if purchased on the day of the BBQ. If you lose your ticket you will have to pay $10 in order to get your wristband.

Find out what it takes to prepare for the Town’s biggest event by volunteering your services during the weekend of the BBQ. Volunteers are needed on Saturday for set-up (heavy-lifting required), and on Sunday for serving, clean-up and other activities. We also need volunteers Friday evening to wrap the pork and again Saturday morning to help pull pork. Pre-registration is required so sign up before the March 27th deadline. For those that need it - service hours can be earned by volunteering for the BBQ and any other Town event. Please bring the required form with you when registering to volunteer. We will sign the form after the event takes place.

The “make your own combo” dinner is returning! You choose the award-winning meats and sides that you want.
Orders must be received by Thursday, March 30th at 3:00 pm. Payment must be made when placing your order. Payments can be made in cash, by check or for your convenience (and a convenience fee), by credit card.
Pre-order forms for BBQ “To-Go” on Saturday are available at Town Hall and online here. You will be called when your order is ready for pick up on Saturday, April 1st (no later than 2:00 PM). Offerings include:
- Brisket – brisket at its best– like nothing you’ve ever had before
- Baby Back ribs - delicious and slow cooked
- Pulled pork – Comes in a container ready to freeze or eat – freezes well
- Slow-cooked, wood-smoked BBQ chicken – not your typical take-out chicken
- Sides of homemade coleslaw, baked beans and extra Smokin’ Gator BBQ sauce
*** We will also be collecting nonperishable food donations for our foodathon. Donations will be provided to Boca Helping Hands.***
