Mango Circle Phase 2 Construction
AECOM has finished the design for the second and final phase of the water main on Mango Circle.  The line will pick up from the end of Phase 1 and complete the loop tying back to our water main on Carandis Rd.  We have received permits from all necessary agencies and we are working on a construction quote from Johnson Davis.  Johnson Davis did the construction for Phase 1 and currently holds a Palm Beach County contract that we can piggyback for this phase of construction.  The Phase 2 construction cost is estimated at $115,000.  Funds for this construction will come from the construction loan we acquired for Utilities last year.

Website Upgrade and Changes
The Town is becoming more sophisticated in communicating on various electronic media platforms.  We have found the Town’s website lacking in some ways and wish to have it updated and redesigned.  Staff is interviewing firms that service municipal web sites and hope to make a choice on a new design team soon.  We hope to have a recommendation for the Town Council for the June Town Council meeting.  Costs of the website redesign are expected to be approximately $10,000.  Staff expects the new website to have a significant e-commerce component, to be backend friendly allowing for easier updates, to be ADA compliant, and to allow for easier user navigation.

Inaugural Town of LCS Buzz
A monthly electronic newsletter was one of the recommendations made by Elliott Cohen, PR Guru, LLC for the Town’s new communication plan.  Next week we expect to launch TownofLCS Buzz.  The newsletter will feature a photo donated by one of our residents.  A new email address has been set up for photo contributions  We are seeking great photos reflecting the beauty and splendor of the Town.  The feature article in the inaugural newsletter will be on the Town Council and the recent reorganization.  There will be three or four other articles reflecting current events within the Town.  Distribution will be through the normal electronic media methods.

Food Trucks are coming to Community Park
Food Truck Invasion, Inc. (FTI) will be bringing 12 to 15 food trucks to Community Park, 1700 Carandis Rd, Friday, May 18th at 5:30 PM.  This is going to be an awesome event.  Tell your friends and let us see how big our inaugural event can be.  We want to thank President Pro Tem Paul Shalhoub for his persistence with FTI in making this happen.

Pine Tree Park is closing…
Staff was successful in getting a grant from the Solid Waste Authority (SWA) to remove the exotic vegetation in Pine Tree Park.  We solicited bids for the work.  All Florida Tree & Landscaping, Inc. was the lowest responsive bidder.  We expect work to start in May.  We are waiting on the signed Interlocal Agreement and the approved project schedule to be returned from SWA.
