Boat Ramp Dock Construction
The Dock Project is just about complete.  The docks, pile cap lighting, area lighting, north fence, south fence, and pathways will all be completed by April 14th.  Temporary security cameras are in place.  Permanent cameras are in the works.  Comments from the residents have been very positive.

FRED Update
FDFC and Renovate America have been moving forward in adding more governments to our District.  Orlando and Miami Dade were approved at the April FRED Board Meeting.  Currently, Renovate America says we have approximately 1.5M homes in the District.  The next FRED Board Meeting will be May 10th in Orlando.  Palm Beach County approved their ordinance allowing PACE Districts within the County on April 4, 2017.  Renovate America has been working with Natalie Schneider (Palm Beach County staff and a Lake Clarke Shores resident) to get the FRED Limited Participation Agreement signed.  Florida Development Finance Corporation (our partner in FRED) has indicated they are not part of the dismantling of Enterprise Florida proposed in a Committee bill (PCP 17-01) sponsored by the House Careers and Competition Subcommittee.

LWDD-17 HDPE Directional Drill
Work here is moving slowly.  Thanks to Larry Lardieri and Damon Gammons we have been able to get the project started and keep it moving.  We heard that Lake Worth Drainage District feels their drainage easement has a superior position to the Palm Beach County road right-of-way and wants to issue a stop work order on our project because we did not get a LWDD permit.  We contend, we do not need one because we have a Palm Beach County permit and all our work is within the road ROW.  So far, work is continuing.

Mango Circle Water Main Addition
Several home owners have come forward to get Town water on Mango Circle.  It was a project in this year’s budget.  Easements from two of the home owners are on the April 11th Town Council agenda for Council approval.  The construction agreement with Johnson & Davis is also being approved so we can start work soon on this local water service improvement project.  Besides adding water service to several residents, we are adding a fire hydrant in the area to improve fire protection.

Palm Beach County Days 2017 and FLC Legislative Days
Palm Beach County Days 2017 was on March 7th and 8th in Tallahassee.  As in the past, Mayor Shalhoub, President Pro-Tem Rodriguez, Council Member Freebold and I attended.  Additionally, Mayor Shalhoub, Council Member Freebold and I attended the Florida League of Cities Legislative Action Days on March 21st and 22nd in Tallahassee.  Individually and collectively we met with a variety of Cabinet Members, Legislators and their Aids discussing CRA, Tax Issues, Home Rule, Sewers, Annexation, and other issues.  It’s important to the Town to have those personal relationships.
